COVID-19

Hello Family & Friends! As you can imagine, we are and have been closely monitoring the COVID situation and how it will impact our wedding plans. We are thrilled that we are one week away from celebrating with all of you, and your health and safety continue to be our priority! As such, we are asking all guests who will be attending the wedding that are NOT fully vaccinated, to please take a COVID test 48-72 hours prior to Saturday. Also, we will have plenty of masks and hand sanitizer for everyone! (Note: Masks will NOT be required but will be available for those that would like one) We also can't stress enough, if you are not feeling well or have been exposed to COVID, please stay home. As much as we will miss your presence, your health and the safety of all our guests is priority. Please let us know by email or text if your plans should change for attending the big day! Love you all - Megan & Alex

How we met!

Megan & Alex met in 2010, during their brace-face years. Alex was a string bean basketball player; Megan, an enthusiastic cheerleader & dancer. Their paths kept crossing, thanks to their respective sports and mutual friends. After a brief stint as middle school boyfriend & girlfriend, they ultimately decided they were better off as friends. That is, until college rolled around. January of 2016 was when Alex finally convinced Megan to let him out of the friend zone. They made memories while going to the University of Iowa together, did long distance while he decided to try out that other state school, ultimately graduated with the same degree, moved back to the Des Moines area, bought a house, got a sweet pup, and settled into life together. 2020 brought a lot of changes to their little family, as it did for so many across the country and world. Megan started working from home, and Alex was changing career paths while secretly planning for an engagement. His extensive training regimen didn't allow for much time to be spent together during the months that led up to their engagement, so locations were turned off for meetings at the jeweler, families were corralled to help finalize details, and Megan’s FBI-level researching was kept to a minimum. During what Megan thought was a family photoshoot in October 2020, Alex popped the question! Her answer? "You liar!" The rest is history.
